Exclusive from the Bruce Lee Archive

As Bruce's list of celebrity students learning Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do climbed so did his familiarity with the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and his mentions in the press. Here is a brief tidbit of Bruce having lunch with his famed student, actor James Coburn at the legendary celebrity hang out Madame Wu's in Santa Monica, which closed in the 1990s. Note that the column publishes Bruce's going rate for private lessons in those days: $150. There is also a brief note of Stirling Silliphant who worked on writing projects with Bruce and also studied Jeet Kune Do under him. There is also a  similar article appearing in a different newspaper which additionally mentions Bruce is soon on his way to Switzerland to train Director Roman Polanski.
